The Golden Eagles joined the C.H.L. for the
1974/75 season and stayed until the league folded following the
1983/84 season. The Eagles were the farm team for the Oakland
Seals from 1974-76, Cleveland Barons in 1976/77, St. Louis Blues
from 1977-83, and the Minnesota North Stars for the 1983/84
season.
Salt Lake City Golden Eagles 1972/73:
This road Salt Lake City Golden Eagles jersey is from the 1972/73 season. The Eagles played in the W.H.L. this year, but the W.H.L. had an interlocking schedule with the C.H.L. during this season. It's a Wilson knit, size 46, with a few minor repairs. The Eagles logo and numbers are all sewn on. There is no name plate on back but Dave S., a visitor and contributor to this site, says that the Eagles stitched the names right on the jersey with no nameplate. Dave also pointed out that the Eagles used the round type neck, as opposed to a v-neck which the team used in 1973/74 through 1975/76. Dave also added that Roger Bellerive wore #21 during the 1972/73 season. (thanks to Steve E. for the photo and Dave S. for the additional jersey info)
Salt Lake City Golden Eagles 1974/75:

Here's is a great looking jersey from the Eagles first year in the C.H.L.. This jersey is manufactured by Wilson, size 46. The material is polyester knit with sewn on tackle twill and logo. This home jersey has the classic tie down front. Jersey also has a fight strap. During this time the Eagles were the farm team for the California Golden Seals. This jersey was handed down to the Eagles. The "Seals" logo was removed and replaced with the Eagles logo. This particular jersey was one of the first gold & green jerseys worn by the Seals. This jersey was probably made in 1971. During the 1974/75 season #2 was worn by Glenn Patrick. (special thanks to Dave S. for the photos)
Salt Lake City Golden Eagles 1974/75 & 1975/76:

Once again another great looking jersey. Just like the one above, this jersey is manufactured by Wilson. The material is polyester knit with sewn on tackle twill and logo. This road jersey has a "V" neck instead of the tie down. As far as I can tell it has no fight strap. During this time the Eagles were the farm team for the California Golden Seals. This jersey was handed down to the Eagles. The "Seals" logo was removed and replaced with the Eagles logo. This #15 road jersey was worn by John Van Horlick and Dave Bates during the 1974/75 season and by Wayne King during the 1975/76 season. (special thanks to Dave S. for the photos)
Here's a home jersey that was first worn by Bob Stewart during 1973-74 season when he played for the California Golden Seals. When the Seals finished with the jersey, it was sent down to Salt Lake to be reused by the Golden Eagles where the Seals crest was removed and replaced with the Eagles crest. Stewart’s name was removed and replaced by Paul Shakes’ nameplate in 1975-76. The jersey may have also been used in 1974-75 by the Eagles. The Wilson size 48 jersey is tagged in the collar and exhibits tremendous wear. This one is up for auction at www.fromthegame.com and we thank Jay Miller from www.netcollectibles.net for the photos.
